The Doris Kester Nonprofit Resources Collection
Pueblo City-County Library District has access to a variety of nonprofit resources including the Doris Kester Nonprofit Collection located at Rawlings Library.
Doris Kester is a lifelong Puebloan and Centennial High graduate, Kester earned a bachelor's degree in social studies in 1969 at then Southern Colorado State Colorado and began her teaching career at Keating Junior High. She retired from teaching in 1989 after 20 years in Pueblo middle and junior high schools. Later, she served as an adjunct instructor at CSU Pueblo supervising student teachers and teaching education classes. Kester went on to later serve as the executive director of the Southern Colorado Community Foundation, starting in 2000.
Her lifetime of commitment to volunteerism and community service has found her as a board member and officer for numerous local organizations, including KTSC-TV, Pueblo City-County Library District, Mental Health Association, Pueblo League of Women's Voters, Pueblo Education Association, our the CSU Pueblo Alumni Association, Pueblo Symphony, Pueblo Human Relations Commission, and Central Christian Church among others.
Through her generous donation, Rawlings Library houses and curates the Doris Kester Nonprofit collection which includes print materials for nonprofit organizations to use a resources to help with grant funding and writing, start-ups, nonprofit tax information, and much more! The collection is located on the 2nd floor of Rawlings Library.

Legal Information Reference Center offers the everyday user the necessary tools and detailed “how-to” instructions to independently address a wide-range of legal issues. This resource includes hundreds of full-text publications and thousands of legal forms. The full-text legal reference books are provided through Nolo.
Colorado Nonprofit Association
The Colorado Nonprofit Association believes nonprofits are essential to a better quality of life for those in our community. They connect people and organizations with the resources they need, act as a voice for the nonprofit sector, and promote best practices for nonprofit organizations to follow. They offer roundtable discussions for members on development, human resources, volunteers, and CFOs every month. They also offer workshops on a variety of nonprofit topics, for both members and non-members. Members can have access to their nonprofit help desk and pro bono legal advice. Their website also provides sample policies and forms.
Community Resource Center builds the capacity of individuals, organizations, and communities through comprehensive programs that focus on resources, education, and leadership. Their programs foster nonprofit sustainability and success, and our integrated approach includes collaboration with statewide partners to deliver appropriate and relevant resources. CRC America provides access to the Colorado Grants Guide, Colorado Common Grants forms, nonprofit startup resources, and nonprofit legal resources.
