Deciding to take the plunge into homeschooling can definitely be a whirlwind of emotions! One incredibly important tip to remember is to have faith in you and your children! This is the perfect time to explore your children’s interests while teaching them in a way that best suits their learning styles and needs. Thankfully, there are ENDLESS resources, videos, groups, and blogs to utilize to get pointers and to guide you on your journey so you don’t have to feel alone! A resource that we recommend checking out is HSLDA, a website dedicated to making your homeschooling experience as simple as possible. Here we have outlined some basic tips to help you have the confidence to begin this exciting adventure!

Get a Library Card - Use your library card to access physical and digital resources through Pueblo City-County Library District

Educate Station - Educate Station contains full curriculums for Pre-k through Fifth Grade. Perfect for homeschool families, early learners, or to supplement pre-k through 5th grade educational needs.

HelpNow - provides assistance with tutoring in elementary, middle and high school. Live online tutors are available daily from 2 - 11pm. HelpNow includes a writing lab, SAT/ACT/GED test prep, virtual group workrooms and live help with English, Social Studies, Science and Math.

Calendar of Events There are many library programs available weekly for all ages that can help supplement a homeschool’s child education and provide fun social interactions with their peers. You can find them in our program calendar by filtering through the age group.
