The Pueblo City-County Library District provides wireless Internet access at the Robert Hoag Rawlings Library, Lamb Library, and Pueblo West Library. Please understand the responsibility to configure your wireless device falls upon the individual user; library staff will not be able to provide technical assistance regarding your wireless configuration and connection. In order to utilize the wireless network, you will need the following:
A wireless device that is 802.11 b/g compliant.
Your wireless device properly configured.
Internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple's Safari.
Configuration
In order to access the Internet your wireless device needs to have the following settings configured:
Network Mode = Infrastructure (Any Access Point)
Network Name or SSID
Rawlings Library = rawlings_public_wireless
Barkman Library = barkman_public_wireless
Lamb Library = lamb_public_wireless
Pueblo West Library = west_public_wireless
IP Settings = Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) enabled or obtain IP address automatically
DNS = Obtain DNS address automatically
Gateway = Obtain default gateway automatically
Security = Security encryption, such as WEP, needs to be disabled.

Internet Access Policy and Security
The Pueblo City-County Library District utilizes filtering software to limit access to inapproprite websites. The library district filters Internet activity in accordance to our Internet Access Policy and the Childerens Internet Protection Act (CIPA). Though the library attempts to filter inappropriate material, some sites may come through that are deemed unsuitable. It is also likely that sites that are considered appropriate for all will be blocked by the filter. In these situations, please request a Citizen's Request for Change to Internet Access form to request the website in question to be blocked or unblocked. It is the responsibility of the wireless user to provide adequate security and anti-virus protection for their laptop. The Pueblo City-County Library district will not be responsible for damages occured on a wireless user's device.
