Overdue Material
- Items may not be checked out or renewed if you owe fines and/or fees over $10.00.
- Overdue fines are $0.10 per day, to a maximum of $3.00 per item. Video Game overdue charges are
$0.50 per day, to a maximum of $6.00 per item. High Demand videos overdue charges are $1.00 per day,
to a maximum of $10.00. Patrons are responsible for all materials
borrowed on their cards. Fines stop accumulating when an item is returned, and can be paid at
that time or at a later date. The library's interest is in getting the item(s) back so that it
is available for other users.
- Notices are sent by E-mail, phone, or regular mail. E-mail and phone notices are generated the
first day an item becomes overdue. Paper notices are sent seven days past the due date and 21
days past the due date. Notices are courtesies only. Failure to receive such a notice does not
exempt the cardholder from any fines due.
- If an item is damaged or lost, the replacement cost will be charged to your record.
- If items are not returned or fines are not paid, your account may be referred to the Unique
Management recovery agency. Should your account be reported, an additional, non-refundable fee
of $10.00 will be added to your account.
