Anthropological genetic genealogy is the application of genetics to traditional genealogy. This field involves the use of genealogical DNA testing to determine the level of genetic relationship between individuals. Angel Cervantes, coordinator of the New Mexico DNA Project, will lead this workshop. His presentation will focus on the basics of DNA testing -going from a paper trail to a DNA trail, and alternatives for testing. This presentation will also chronicle the New Mexico DNA project that aids individuals, with roots in New Mexico, in confirming and validating their genealogical research. Drinks are provided so bring a sack lunch and enjoy this program. Come prepared with questions so the experts can help! For more information, please call 562-5626.
